The crystal bats look like donuts.

Jordio94 responds:

Okay then... now I'm going to get an urge to visit the donut store every time I look at one...

I like the update! The medals were pretty tough to get. I like how the scores are decided. It definitely makes the tougher paths more worth it.

Kutejnikov responds:

Congratulations! Your results are impressive and you are the first to collect all medals!
And you guessed how to effectively complete the level 2-2 :)

the bats are so annoying lol
also, on the fifth(?) level I just randomly shot away to the right while I was hanging down on a ledge. I eventually got stuck here. https://www.newgrounds.com/dump/item/96cb3700843cbdd2382816a646b0ffac

HeadbanGames responds:

You know one of my favorite quotes is "those goddamn bats" :)

As for the bug, great catch there!
It took me quite a while to manage to recreate it and even more to figure out why it's happening, but it's all fixed now!

Sorry for the inconvenience, these weird bugs sometimes happens in alpha versions.

Completing the base game was a bit tedious, but the hardmode boss is very fun! The squid relaxing to only an upward facing position is a bit annoying, but I guess it adds to the difficulty. Good idea and use of the graphic kit for only a day.

SwiftVector responds:

Yeah haha the relaxing upwards thing was something I was in two minds about - kinda annoying but I was worried there'd be no difficulty otherwise. Still not sure it's balanced right now. Thanks for the feedback!

Oh, cool, I'm the eleventh to get the "11" medal.

ToadieTechnika responds:

Also responded, 11 hours after you got the medal.

Cool game. It really speeds up at the end, which is a nice change from the usual endgame slog especially present in clicker/idle games. The different paths were interesting to go around, though I think the maze could use some dead ends without artefacts to make it more maze-like.

kygron responds:

Glad you liked it! Most people barely understand the mechanic, and would be mad at me if I said "fail!" without showing them the map.

But if this game was too simple for you, please try my other games and join discord. This is the simplest game made because people didn't understand my previous very complex one. I'm trying to find a good balance.

Very enjoyable. I think the connection between the musical effects and changes in the game worked out really well. This is entirely understandable given it was done for a short game jam, but I wish there was an endless mode to toy around with after I was done with the levels.

HealliesGames responds:

Initially I wanted to add an endless tower-defense modality, where you have to place the amplifiers, but I arrived really tight for the jam due the numerous bugs to solve.

Thanks for the feedback, OneThousandMeeps!

odd little idle game.

AlexTheGreatish responds:

thank you!

Nice, tough game. I experienced a glitch on level nineteen when undoing a move. The teleporter/swapper placed an animal and a food dish in the same spot, leaving an empty place behind.
Edit: Alright, I've made a walkthrough for some of the more difficult levels. You may use it if it's helpful @athomas5

kikill responds:

Thank you for playing, OneThousandMeeps! I'll keep that in mind when I remaster the game!

On every modern browser I've used, it's no longer possible to drag the mouse cursor outside of the game and affect the orientation and power, which means to even complete most levels you have to use the Newgrounds Player, a Windows exclusive program. However, even if you use NG Player, if you close the window, none of your progress will be saved. This sucks since when I pressed restart while it tried to show a fail screen the game crashed. I completed ~75% of all levels with minimum shots before this happened. To have a reasonable shot at completing it, I'm guessing I'll have to use Internet Explorer. No one wants to use IE.

Edit: well, I've done it now using IE. It took a little while, and I had to tape a piece of paper on which I wrote onto my screen to consistently shoot difficult shots perfectly.

Graeme responds:

That really sucks to hear!
Sorry about that :(
I doubt we'll be updating the game to address this. The source files are likely long gone... Hopefully game preservation projects like "Flashpoint" will allow for that type of interaction, and actually make completion possible!
