Pretty fun. I like how fast paced it is.

Thanks for playing, on christmas the presents will be unwrapped :)

Very tough game. For the last boss, I recommend you spend as much time as possible attacking him. Sometimes with a hard boss it's a good idea to take it slow and avoid losing that much health, but there really isn't time on this one.
I think I'll try hard mode later.

I like this version of the demo! The witch thing that that throws gnomes at you is really annoying, I honestly thought *he was going to be the boss. A flying boss sounds like a true challenge to defeat, maybe it could feature in a future demo?, if you plan to keep making these. The gingerbread man boss is pretty good. I'd say it's at about the same difficulty as the first, though it took me a bit longer to kill. I like the thematic background and skins, though I wish I could get a Santa Hat for my character. Or really any additional skins.
The wolf enemy is tough, especially since you can't hit during one of its animations. I noticed this time that you can't jump from a rope and land on the same rope. You always drop down one. I would prefer it if you could jump back to the same rope. The zipline is cool! I curious how you plan to use it level design in the future, as this one was mostly just a ferry to the end. The health upgrade modules were an interesting addition, I guess it's a way to make the difficulty balance a bit more across levels?
Anyway, good game, and darn you guh-nomes!

oh, and I found a funny looking bug:
https://www.newgrounds.com/dump/item/e032c5a93b83c823bf72e249a74ce629
when I pressed left or right, he switched direction. I exited it by jumping iirc.

Edit: excuse me, I did not see the Grinch very well because of his impressive flying speed.
re: the dogs. really? well, maybe I wasn't close enough. Actually, now that I think of it, that's probably right. And that is the strategy I've been using, although I've been avoiding killing the dogs when possible. There not really necessary, most of them.
As for the bug, I haven't yet repeated it, though I can try now.
p.s. I just beat the Halloween special on hard. Those health upgrades are helpful!

The witch is a he :)
Its a Grinch, dressed in a little homage to Freddy Krueger.

The full game will have at least another holiday nightmare in it, but we're not set on what it'll be yet, who knows, maybe flying turkeys for thanksgiving.

Yeah skins are nice and all, but it's not at the top of our list at the moment, we're focusing on getting all the main stuff done first.

Regarding the dogs, there is no limit on which animation you can attack it, the best way to handle them is to roll and strike low.

You're right about the rope, it's a regression from a previous update, it's fixed now.

Yeah the zipline is just a small showcase for the mechanic in this demo, but we obviously have more plans for it in the game's levels.

Yes, the health upgrade are to make things a bit easier, they are now also appear in the Halloween Special among all other updates and changes made in this version.

Can you share more details about that bug?

Pretty easy to get all golds, but if anyone needs help for one, I've made a guide.
I generally like cumulative totals because it's fun to increment them slowly over multiple levels, but since these are all so similar, I didn't find it very fun.

Pretty fun. It doesn't appear that the score is entirely based on goals? I earned eighty-something thousand with ten goals to nil, but my internet was bugging out at the time so it didn't send the medal or score. That's fine since I did the same thing again a few minutes later, but for some reason my score was only 60,100.
Oh, and I'm stumped on the medal Oscar. Absolutely no idea how to unlock it. If it's a random event, than it's very uncommon.
I like the menu music, but it could do with music during gameplay as well.

The this game is so weird... It says in the game that I got a score of 332, with a best of 341. The issue is I haven't gotten a score 341; 332 should be my record. But on the High Scores tab outside of the game, it says I just got a score 377, which it says nowhere in the game... It also only unlocked the medal for getting > 150 points, and left >300 points locked... for two minutes. The correct medal unlocked a whole two minutes later. I'm honestly just perplexed by this game.

I got to 530 and had to wait about 5 minutes for the medal to unlock. It seems like this is the trick to the game. It still hasn't sent the highscore though... weird game.

I like the warping of the line of sight by the black hole. I think it's a nice touch. :3
I think having to plan to which planet you're closest to decide which effect you get is a cool idea, and adds a bit of complexity to an otherwise simple game.
I managed to get 7302, but I might come back to it later. it's pretty fun!

Mine is 7448, so you're not so far. x)

Thank you for playing and feedback, OneThousandMeeps!

EDIT: After the update, 6750. Now time is multiplied by 5.

Very good looking game, definitely one of my favourites on newgrounds. I like the relaxing music. Fifty game plays is a little silly, but I have the time.

Made it just in time! I almost didn't make it here, but I just happened to stumble upon your user page on the day the event started... You should make a post on the medal games tricks and tips thread so medal enthusiasts don't miss the rest.
